There are many different things that could be affecting your stream quality. This guide will take you through some basic troubleshooting to ensure that you’re all set up correctly and will help you troubleshoot what your issue may be.

We are working hard every day testing and improving the service so don’t think that because these steps didn’t work you can never stream on Glimesh. It may just be the right fix going in place for you to have a successful stream so keep an eye on #site-updates. Also feel free to experiment and report on what works for you. These settings should be the best available options but some user’s networks may have better success with other encoder settings.

Initial Setup

Unable to connect from OBS / Streamlabs

If you see the following message in OBS try the following steps.


Try starting your stream again after a few seconds or try another region. Sometimes an ingest server will be having issues and trying again or using a different region temporarily can work until our team is able to fix the ingest server that is having issues.

Check stream key

We always recommend double-checking your stream key, it's easy to forget to set it when switching between streaming services.

Reset Stream Key

If you are still experiencing issues we recommend resetting your stream key. This helps ensure there isn’t an issue with the stream key on our end or on yours. To do so go to your channel settings as shown below, hit Reset Stream Key, and then copy the new key into your OBS.

Check for known service issues

Open and check if there is an error banner on the page advertising a site outage.
