This guide will take you through the Site Content section of your Preferences:

Part 1: Setting Your Language

All our site translations on Glimesh are thanks to the support and hard work of our amazing community members who contribute towards the ongoing upkeep of providing translations to enable Glimesh to reach a global audience.

You can change the preferred language the website displays for you at any time.

The languages we currently have full, or partial, support for are:

1. From Your Preferences Settings

Under the Site Content section heading you will see a box labeled “Language”, when you click on this you will see a drop-down list appear.

In this drop-down, you will need to scroll until you find your preferred language and click it in the list.

Once you have done this click the large blue button labeled “Update Settings” at the bottom of the page.

The website will now display in your preferred language.

There may be words that are not yet translated, this is due to the nature of our translations being a group effort by the community. If you would like to help with translations, you can find out more about how in our How Do I Get Involved? article.

2. From The Quick Bar

You can change your language preferences without needing to navigate back to your preferences settings at any time from the quick bar at the top of your page.

To the right of the top bar of Glimesh, you will see some options including your profile picture, a question mark, and a small dropdown with language initials and a sun or moon.

Click the language initials to open a quick options menu.

From this click the drop-down box below Site Language, and again scroll until you find your preferred language, then click to select.

Click the blue button labeled “Save” at the bottom of this box to update your site language.

On Glimesh, streamers may label their content as Mature rated – while our Terms of Service does have specific rules which mean a streamer needs to use this, some streamers also use this outside of those specific rules just to give an indication that this content may not be suitable for younger viewers.

If a streamer has the Mature Content flagged for their stream you will see a warning message. This will come up for every stream flagged as Mature, meaning you will need to click the blue Agree & View Channel button any time you visit a mature flagged stream.

If you would like to bypass this warning message, you can set this in your preferences.

In the Site Content section of your preferences, below the language options, you will see a section for “Mature content visibility”, just below this is a toggle that is off by default to “Bypass Mature Content Warning”. In order to turn this warning message off, click the toggle.

Once you have done this click the large blue button labeled “Update Settings” at the bottom of the page.

We know not everyone wants to receive Gift Subscriptions, which is why on Glimesh we offer you the option to turn off receipt of Gift Subscriptions from users on the platform.

In order to change your preferences head to the Site Content section of your Preferences.

In this section navigate to the third option down named “Gift subscription options”. This setting is on by default to allow you to receive gift subscriptions. To turn them off, click the toggle named “Receive Gift Subscriptions”.

Once you have done this click the large blue button labeled “Update Settings” at the bottom of the page.

Any time someone attempts to give you a gift subscription they will see a message informing them you have opted out of receiving gift subscriptions and the person gifting will not be charged.
