This guide will take you through the Site Content section of your Preferences:
- Dark And Light Mode Site Theme
- Chat Customisation: Timestamps
- Chat Customisation: Mod Icons

Part 1: Dark And Light Mode Site Theme
Glimesh will display by default as dark mode, if you would like to change that you can do so at any time.
1. From Your Preferences Settings

Immediately under the Look & Feel section heading is a section for “Site theme”. This has two options, each with a tick box next them; dark on the left, light on the right. To change from the default dark mode, click the tick box labelled light.
Once you have done this click the large blue button labeled “Update Settings” at the bottom of the page.

Once you click light your display will show in white with black text, instead of the dark mode blues with white text.
You can change this back at any time by clicking the tick box for dark, and then clicking update.
2. From The Quick Bar
You can change your dark and light mode preferences without needing to navigate back to your preferences settings anytime from the quick bar at the top of your page.
To the right of the top bar of Glimesh, you will see some options including your profile picture, a question mark, and a small dropdown with language initials and a sun or moon.

From this click the tick box for Dark or Light mode, whichever you prefer.

Once you have selected your choice, click the large blue button labeled “Save”.
Part 2: Chat Customisation: Timestamps
On Glimesh there are some basic chat controls you can set to help personalize your chat experience. Timestamps are off by default but if you would like to turn them on so you can see what time a message was sent, you can do so at any time.
1. From Your Preferences Settings

Under the Look & Feel section of your preferences, the second option named Chat timestamp visibility will show a toggle box, which is off (ticked on the left) by default. To change this to display timestamps, click the toggle.
Once you have done this click the large blue button labeled “Update Settings” at the bottom of the page.

Next time you visit a stream you will be able to see the timestamps for when a message was sent next to the username of the person who sent the message.
2. From The Chat Settings
You can also change your timestamps directly from the chat.

On the far right of the chat box there will be a cog wheel icon, click on this to open a small menu.

From this mini menu select the second option down which will read "Hide Timestamps" or "Show Timestamps", depending on your settings. Click this to toggle the timestamps on and off in chat.
!! Quick Tip !!
You can also see the date a message was sent by hovering over the timestamp in the chat box with your mouse.
Part 3: Chat Customisation: Mod Icons
1. From Your Preferences Settings

Under the Look & Feel section of your preferences, the final option named Show Action Mod Icons will show a toggle box, which is on (ticked on the right) by default. Click the toggle to change between showing Mod Icons or having them turned off.
!! Important !!
Mod Icons will only show in channels in which you are a named moderator, or in your own channel.
Once you have done this click the large blue button labeled “Update Settings” at the bottom of the page.

If you set the Icons to display, the next time you visit a stream for which you moderator you will see 4 moderation icons to the left of each person in the chat.

2. From The Chat Settings
You can also change your mod icon display directly from the chat.

If you make any changes to your Preference settings, please remember to scroll to the bottom of the page and click update settings to save any changes you have made.
