About This Guide
This guide will take you through how chat looks and operates on Glimesh when you are streaming:
- Username Colors
- Notification Boxes
- Icons
- Toggling Mod View
- Toggling Timestamps
- Pop-Out Chat
Part 1: Username Colors
Description: Glimdrop's profile picture followed by their display name colored in green indicating they are part of the Community Champions team.
A green username in chat are part of the Glimesh Community Team - they are the Community Champions and exist to help welcome you and answer any questions you may have about Glimesh.

A blue username is also part of the Glimesh Community Team - the core team. The core team is here to handle global support as well as moderation to help keep you safe.

A red username in chat means you are talking to one of the owners of Glimesh, this is a rare color and only exists for two people on the website.

A gold username is a Glimesh supporter, or, someone who is subscribed directly to Glimesh. For more information on how to become a Glimesh supporter see our guide.
Everyone else on the platform will have a white username.
Part 2: Notification Boxes
Description: Image shows the follow message which pops up in the stream chat it reads Glimdrop just followed the stream!
When someone follows a stream a box will appear in chat showing the profile picture and username followed by a message to say they have followed. If you need to moderate that user you can do so directly from the follow message if necessary.

Purple boxes indicate someone has subscribed or gifted a subscription, to the channel.
Part 3: Icons

Users with a purple box with a trophy icon in it next to their name are subscribers to that channel.
Description: Image shows a blue box with the word Streamer inside it.
Streamers will have a blue box next to their name in chat which has the word Streamer in it.

Channel moderators will have a blue box next to their name in chat which has the word Mod in it.
Part 4: Timestamps
On Glimesh there are some basic chat controls you can set to help personalize your chat experience. Timestamps are off by default but if you would like to turn them on so you can see what time a message was sent, you can do so at any time.

You can change your timestamps display directly from the chat.

On the far right of the chat box there will be a cog wheel icon, click on this to open a small menu.

From this mini menu select the second option down which will read "Hide Timestamps" or "Show Timestamps", depending on your settings. Click this to toggle the timestamps on and off in chat.

You can also see the date a message was sent by hovering over the timestamp in the chat box with your mouse.
Part 5: Mod Icons
You can change your mod icon display directly from the chat.

From this mini menu select the third option down which will read "Show Mod Icons" or "Hide Mod Icons", depending on your settings. Click this to toggle the timestamps on and off in chat.
Part 6: Pop-Out Chat
On the far right of the chat box there will be a cog wheel icon, click on this to open a small menu.

From this mini menu select the second option down which will read "Pop-out Chat" at the top of this box. This will open another window.

Your chat is now open as a separate window, this will continue to update even if you are not watching the stream meaning you can pin this over other applications to continue watching and interacting in chat.
