About this Guide
We believe everyone whether Streamer or Viewer should be able to show off their personality. Which is why anyone can customise their profile content.
This guide will take you through the Profile Content section of Your Profile:
- Text Formatting
- Adding Images
To follow along with this guide you will need to be in Your Profile: https://glimesh.tv/users/settings/profile

Glimesh utilizes Markdown for your Profile Content, this guide will take you through some of the basics. For a more in-depth guide to Markdown, you can check out this guide which is also linked in the brackets next to the Profile Content title.

Part 1: Text Formatting
There are many ways to format the text in your Profile Content to help it stand out, in order to do so you will need to navigate to the profile Content section of your profile.
1. Bold Text

If you would like your text in bold click the B, this will put 4 stars in the content box. Type your message between these stars to make it show in bold.

2. Italicized Text

If you would like your text italicized click the I, this will put 2 underscores in the content box. Type your message between these underscores to make it show italicized.

3. Heading

If you would like your text to be a heading click the H, this will put 3 hashtags next to each other. Type your message after the 3 hashtags to make your text look like a heading.

4. Code

If you would like your text to appear as code click </>, this will put 2 backticks next to each other. Type your message between these 2 backticks to make your text look like code.

5. Links

If you would like your text to appear as a link click the chain link button, this will put the following: [](URL)
Put the text you would like to see in the square brackets, and place your website link in place of the word URL, this will make your text link to your chosen website.

6. Unordered Lists

To create an unordered, or bullet-pointed, list, type your list into the content box and highlight it. Once this is highlighted click the bullet point icon, this will add dashes to each of the items in your list.

7. Ordered Lists

To create an unordered, or numbered, list, type your list into the content box and highlight it. Once this is highlighted click the numbered list icon, this will add numbers to each of the items in your list.

Once you have made all your changes, head to the bottom of the page and click update settings to save your changes.
To see how all these look together in your profile, you can click the preview button at any time.

Part 2: Adding Images
In order to add images to your profile, you will need to ensure your images are hosted on an online image-sharing website. We recommend using Imgur, but any image hosting service will work.
If you are unsure how to upload images to Imgur please follow this guide made by Imgur.

Once you have uploaded your image to Imgur, or your image-sharing site of choice, click the copy link button on your image and then head to the profile content section of your profile.
1. Adding Images

In order to add your image first click the image icon to place the markdown syntax into your profile content.
Clicking this button will place  into your content box.
Replace the word URL with the link to your image, and add .png to the end of the link, in between the brackets, for example:

When adding your link be sure to add .png to the end of the link otherwise your image will not work
Give your title an image/some descriptive text between the square [] brackets, for example: 
Once you have done this, click update settings at the bottom of the page.
2. Adding Images With Links
If you would like your image to link to a website when it is clicked, you can also do this.
Follow the steps above to add your image. So your profile content will look something like the below:

Wrap all of this section in square brackets [] so it looks something like this: []
At the end of these square brackets open a normal bracket ( and add the name of the website you would like your image to link to, followed by a close bracket ), so it will look like this: [](https://www.glimesh.tv)
This will now allow anyone who clicks your image will be taken to that website!
Once you have added this, head to the bottom of the page and click update settings to save your changes.
Where Your Profile Content Displays
1. Your Profile

On the right side are the outputted changes for the text formatting and image displays from the above guide.
When a user visits your profile they will see your profile content displayed, if you are someone who doesn't have a channel on Glimesh, you can still set it up and express yourself!
2. Your About me
Description: Image of the about me section of your channel for Glimdrop. At the top of the image are the profile picture, username, preferred language badge in blue, pronoun badge in green, and social media icons. Below this are the outputted changes for the text formatting and image displays from the above guide.
Your profile content will also display in your "About Me" section below your channel.

If you make any changes to your socials please remember to scroll to the bottom of the page and click update settings to save any changes you have made.
