This guide will take you through the steps necessary to report a channel, or user, on the platform

!! IMPORTANT !!
Banning a user from your stream, or a user getting banned from the platform does not prohibit them from consuming your content and chat. Even if we blocked those users from your chat, they would be able to logout or use a VPN to continue to access your content.

Part 1: Reporting A Channel

To report a channel; navigate to the bottom bar below the stream video. On the far right side, there will be a red flag and some text which reads Report User. To start your report click this text. This will open up a pop-up screen.

This pop-up is where you will fill in as much information as possible regarding your report. First, you will need to select where the incident happened.

Clicking on the drop-down box below where it says Where did this happen? will give you five options to choose from. From top to bottom these are Stream Video Content, Stream Chat, Profile Text or Avatar, Username, and Not on Glimesh. Select the option which applies.

The next section below relates to what the user has done wrong. You have 4 tick box options here which from top to bottom read Hate Speech, Inappropriate Content, Copyright Infringement / Law Violation, and Other. Click the option which applies.

The final section is for any Notes. If you selected other, or want to include more information about your report please type into this box. 

Once you are happy with your report click the large red submit report button at the bottom of this box.

Once your report has been successfully submitted you will see a box appear below the Report User button to inform you that your Report has been submitted. 

Part 2: Reporting A User

The steps to report a user are similar to those of a channel, but you must first go directly to the profile of the user you wish to report.

On the left side is the user's information such as their profile picture and social links, right at the bottom of this column is a red flag with the text report user next to it. To begin your report, click this text. This will open a pop-up screen. 



This pop-up is where you will fill in as much information as possible regarding your report. First, you will need to select where the incident happened.

Once your report has been successfully submitted you will see a box appear below the Report User button to inform you that your Report has been submitted. 

Part 3: False Reporting 

Abusing the report system and false reporting is against the Glimesh Terms of Service. Using it in a way other than its intended purpose could result in action taken against your account.

!! IMPORTANT !!
When you report a channel you will receive an automatically generated email from the community team informing you that your report has been received. If the community team feels they need any additional information they will reach out to you via this email address to get more information from you.
